I'm just a nerd. I love video games, history, and collecting crazy socks. No, seriously - I collect wacky socks. I loved school and miss homework. I occasionally make videos for the site featuring all sorts of cool stuff like deviantWEAR, postcards, and comic book legends! :la:

7-Layer Dip Recipe

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 6, 2012, 6:02 PM
Hey hey hey! Yesterday was (obviously) the Super Bowl. Now, I don't really have a particular NFL team that I cheer for, so I was just happy to party with my friends and eat unhealthy food. However, two friends had big money on the Giants, so I cheered for them because winning money is always awesome, right? Anyway, the Giants won, they won some monies, yadda yadda yadda. Let's get to the part I care about: the food! I made a 7-layer dip for the first time and it was super easy and yummy. Here's how I did it:

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground turkey
1 packet of hot taco seasoning
1 can of refried beans
2 packets (4 cups) of your favorite shredded cheese
1 (small) container of sour cream
1 cup of guacamole (I used spicy)
1 cup of your favorite salsa
Handful of black olives (ew.)
Handful of freshly chopped roma tomatoes
Handful of freshly cut green onions
*I also added a few sliced jalapenos on top as well - did you guess I like spicy food?

The layers go like this (from bottom to top):
Beans
Half of the Cheese
Meat (Cooled to room temp - this is important!)
Sour Cream
Guacamole
Salsa
The rest of the cheese
Black Olives (ew.)
Tomatoes
Green Onions
Jalapenos

(That looks like 15 layers.)

It's super easy (and quick!) to make and everybody loved it. Another REALLY quick dip recipe I love is cubing a Velveta cheese block, put the cubes in a bowl, add 2 cans of chili and microwave until gooey. YUM. Enjoy!

What's your favorite dip recipe?

No idea when your likely to read this comment, since it says on your page you've not been on it for 52 weeks so far, but I've just come across you in the new official show guide for London MCM Expo [or MCM London Comic-Con, if you prefer] on pages 20 to 21, and mentions you being a Deviant Art user, so I thought I'd check out your page :)

Take care.
