Hey hey hey! Yesterday was (obviously) the Super Bowl. Now, I don't really have a particular NFL team that I cheer for, so I was just happy to party with my friends and eat unhealthy food. However, two friends had big money on the Giants, so I cheered for them because winning money is always awesome, right? Anyway, the Giants won, they won some monies, yadda yadda yadda. Let's get to the part I care about: the food! I made a 7-layer dip for the first time and it was super easy and yummy. Here's how I did it:
1 lb. ground turkey
1 packet of hot taco seasoning
1 can of refried beans
2 packets (4 cups) of your favorite shredded cheese
1 (small) container of sour cream
1 cup of guacamole (I used spicy)
1 cup of your favorite salsa
Handful of black olives (ew.)
Handful of freshly chopped roma tomatoes
Handful of freshly cut green onions
*I also added a few sliced jalapenos on top as well - did you guess I like spicy food?
The layers go like this (from bottom to top):
Half of the Cheese
Meat (Cooled to room temp - this is important!)
The rest of the cheese
Black Olives (ew.)
(That looks like 15 layers.)
It's super easy (and quick!) to make and everybody loved it. Another REALLY quick dip recipe I love is cubing a Velveta cheese block, put the cubes in a bowl, add 2 cans of chili and microwave until gooey. YUM. Enjoy!
What's your favorite dip recipe?
